The blade is precision-crafted from D2 steel, known for its durability and excellent edge retention. Easy at-home sharpening makes it ideal for daily use, but caution is advised regarding moisture and acids, as D2 is not completely stainless. Regular cleaning, especially after exposure to (fruit) acids, salt, or moisture, is recommended.
